Cauldron Halloween Cake with How-to Video

October 18, 2013 by bblondie 12 Comments

Cauldron Halloween Cake with how-to video | ButtercreamBlondie.com

Things are getting spooky around here.  Okay, I don’t know about spooky, but definitely sparkly!  I am beyond excited to share this fun Halloween cake and video with you today!  A chocolate cauldron filled with cake and candy, surrounded by buttercream flames is a must for Halloween.  And the best part is it’s great for any skill level, so you can get the whole family involved in this one!

So I’m going to keep this short and sweet today because the video covers it all, but what I love most about this cake is you can make it as simple or as gourmet as you want.  I cover all the basics in the video and then show you how to really zhush it up with the details, like piping buttercream flames around the base.  And we can’t forget a little sparkle around the edges to give it that worn look!

Head over to SheKnows for the full recipe along with step-by-step photos!

So very cute – love that it’s not a spooky or scary themed cake.

Such a cute concept cake for Halloween, Meghan! Love. It! Although my connection was super slow today (I think the Internet was near crashing, LOL), I stuck with it. You did a fabulous job! I will pin to all family, holiday and diy boards at Pinterest tonight for some good exposure for you. They’re gonna love it! Thanks for sharing, girl. Have a great autumn weekend! xo
