There’s nothing like a tried and true cake recipe you can always count on. One that’s a snap to make, bakes up beautifully and has the ability to bring happiness to everyone in its path! This dolled up chocolate peanut butter snack cake hits all the marks, and who can possibly resist the chocolate peanut butter combo?
So I’ve been patiently waiting to share this recipe with you and I just had to roll it out for the weekend so you can pencil it in! Priorities! The chocolate cake itself is one of my favorites because it has a beautiful crumb and is very light. It’s perfect for a quiet Sunday, to brighten up a Monday, birthdays,or any day that could use a little pick-me-up!
It’s also the perfect anchor for the dreamy peanut butter frosting that you’re going to want to “test” repeatedly all. day. long. One of those we’re lucky if any makes it onto the cake situations if you catch my drift…
Once you pry yourself away from the bowl, garnish the cake with chopped up mini peanut butter cups and sprinkle with sea salt. The sea salt makes the whole cake! Just that little bit really enhances the flavors and balances every single bite!

My fave part of this recipe? …besides the awesome chocolate pb combo of course… is that you call it a “snack” cake. Which is great, b/c that means I get to eat this for snack, and then STILL get to eat dessert!
