Trick or treat! Are you guys ready for Halloween? I cannot get enough festive treats and sweets right now. From homemade caramel apples to everyones’s favorite spooky spider layer cake, I want to make them all!
Before I start going on about my love of creating wonky little spider cookies and dolling-up cookie cups with ALL the sprinkles, I want to welcome all the new friends who’ve found their way here. Thank you for all your kind comments and emails. I’m thrilled you’re enjoying all the desserts, and if there are any special desserts you’d like to see this holiday season, please let me know!
There are lots of new sweets heading your way and if you’re following along on Instagram, you’ve already caught a preview in stories! But today is all about spooky Halloween sweets, and by spooky, you should know I mean adorable/decadent/binge worthy sweets!
Just in case you missed the Spooky Spider Cake blowing up all over Pinterest, here it is! It’s definitely way more cute than spooky, and it’s finished with as many festive sprinkles as I could get my hands on! Even better, the inside is chocolate and Baileys cookies and cream!
Save me a piece, okay??
In Buttercream Blondie land, even the spiders have sprinkles! If you’re a fan of peanut butter desserts, make sure to check out the cutest ever spider peanut butter cookies. It’s a great recipe because you can make them as simple or as fancy pants as you want, and kids love to make them. So do adults!
These wonky little peanut butter spider cookies are almost too cute to eat – almost!
If you’ve always wanted to make caramel apples, this is your time to shine! Halloween Caramel Apples are so much easier to make than you’d think and anything I can cover in sprinkles is always a win! This is a great project if you’re looking to do something fun with the family, and I’ve included my best tips for the caramel-ing process too!
If you’re into the sweet and salty snack/nosh type situation, these Pumpkin Kiss Pretzel Bites are the answer! These little gems are so unsuspecting, and impossible to keep your hands off of. They’re great for gifting too – if you can part with them!
So remember how I mentioned decadent? Yup, these definitely do the trick! These soft-baked cookie cups are filled with chocolate ganache, topped with my go-to vanilla buttercream, and all the sprinkles I could get my hands on!
Are you noticing a trend here?!
Do you have one recipe you make every Halloween, or do you like to change it up and try different ones? I love mixing it up, but I always like to create one wonky little creature of sorts. This year I’ll be spending the day making a pretty little unicorn cake, and I think I may be more excited about it than the little one who requested it 🙂
Thanks so much for reading and keep tagging me on Instagram so I can see your bakes!
Happy baking! xo
