Taco Tuesday is getting a makeover! I’m so excited to share my next recipe for Farberware with you guys, and all I can tell you are these skinny turkey taco boats are everything! They pack so much flavor, are super easy to make and I feel like they just look like party food – right?
I’m all about the easy and flavorful dishes right now, and I don’t think flavorful even describes how good these dreamboats are! I also love easy meals that the whole family will love and want to get involved in, and I feel like everyone wants to get involved with tacos.
I know I do.
I made a really easy taco filling using ground turkey, garlic, bell pepper and lots of spices. You could even add corn, beans, or a little more heat if that’s your thing – don’t you just love when a dish is so versatile and adaptable? It’s one of those recipes that packs a big punch for a little work, and one you will find yourself going back to time and time again. Then I swapped out the go-to taco shells for bright and crisp romaine lettuce and I gotta tell ya, I’ve been living on these!
You get everything you want in a taco including the crunch, thanks to the lettuce boats. And of course, it’s all about the toppings. Cheese, avocado, tomato and some red onion – all the essentials! I made these for some friends recently and it was one of those meals that everyone was happy to help with. Someone prepped the toppings, another washed the lettuce, and of course, someone whipped up a batch of margaritas!
These were definitely a hit and I hope you guys give them a try. Another perk was that since we were eating lettuce, I didn’t feel bad about all the chips and guac that happened!
Make sure to put these on your schedule asap and please invite me over when you make them, okay? Thanks so much for reading and I’ll see you next week with a new dessert!
