Spring has officially sprung! The weather is gorgeous, iced coffee is in full effect, and all of a sudden we can't go out to dinner anywhere that doesn't offer outdoor seating! I feel like this all happened really quickly, I didn't even start Spring cleaning yet. By Spring cleaning, you should know I mean cleaning out the shoe collection to make room for new ones ;) Anyway, this burst of summer weather is definitely welcome. I may not be getting much done, but I sure am enjoying it. One thing I did get done this week are these Cadbury ...
Irish Candy Bar Cupcakes
When I first decided to do this Saint Patrick's Day series, the one product I knew I wanted to include was the Crunchie candy bar. This Irish candy was one of my favorite childhood treats, and I couldn't wait to create a grown up dessert with it. I picked up a few last week along with some Flake bars, another favorite of mine, and got to work. What I came up with is a new cupcake that takes these candy bars to a whole new level. To give you some info on a Crunchie, it is a milk chocolate candy bar with a honeycombed center. ...
Peanut Butter Peanut M&M Cookies
There's something to be said for a simple cookie recipe. One that's been tested a million times, that always comes out right on the money. That's my peanut butter cookie, and thanks to a few recent requests, this comforting treat is getting the spotlight today! They kind of just look at you till you give in and take a bite, or two... I ...
Love Monster Cupcakes
The countdown to Valentine's Day is officially on, and I'm in the midst of baking craziness friends. Today's post is fun project fit for all skill levels. These Love Monster cupcakes are ridiculous and over the top, just the way I like them. I love that they're so wonky looking, because I think love makes us all a little wonky! The original Monster Cupcakes were such a hit that I had to make a Valentine version. I baked a batch of my favorite red velvet cupcakes, and while they were cooling I made a batch of buttercream. Once ...
Monster Cupcakes
I can't believe it's time for Halloween baking already! These cupcakes could actually work any time of year for a monster themed birthday party, but they're especially cute for Halloween. Okay so they're definitely more cute than spooky, but this is me here! I just did these for a party and the kids went crazy over them! This is also a great project for kids. They can make the monsters any color they want, and decorate them with all different kinds of candy. The first thing I did was make the eyes. I made them different sizes using white ...
