Good morning! I have a new cupcake recipe for you today that needs to find a spot in your weekend plans! I turned my peach and almond crumble into a cupcake, and this little treat packs a ton of flavor. Between the fresh peaches, the pop of bourbon, and the crunchy crumble topping, these little summer cupcakes hit all the right marks. My initial thought when I get my hands on some gorgeous peaches is to make a crumble, but I thought it would be fun to turn it into a cupcake. Peaches have a very delicate flavor and I wanted them to be the ...
Love Monster Cupcakes
The countdown to Valentine's Day is officially on, and I'm in the midst of baking craziness friends. Today's post is fun project fit for all skill levels. These Love Monster cupcakes are ridiculous and over the top, just the way I like them. I love that they're so wonky looking, because I think love makes us all a little wonky! The original Monster Cupcakes were such a hit that I had to make a Valentine version. I baked a batch of my favorite red velvet cupcakes, and while they were cooling I made a batch of buttercream. Once ...
Penguin Cupcakes
To say I love penguins would be an understatement, so I had to put some on my blog. I decided cupcakes would be the best way to go, and I'm delighted with how they turned out. I can't help but smile when I look at them! Of course I had to give them sparkly hats, because thats what all penguins wear, right?! They're perfect for holiday parties, and were pretty simple to put together too. For the cupcakes I used my vanilla cupcake recipe that I used in the Holiday cupcake tree. At first I thought they might be difficult to decorate, but ...
Holiday Cupcake Tree with How-to Video
I'm so excited to share this cupcake tree with all of you! I love cupcakes and I really love Christmas, so creating a Christmas tree out of cupcakes is almost too much for me to handle! Mini cupcakes decorated with buttercream, gumdrops, and of course a bit of sparkle, give the tree a really fun look. It is a great project for all skill levels, and also makes a fabulous centerpiece for holiday parties. When I first thought of this, I couldn't wait to make it! I started out making my vanilla cupcakes and attached them to a styrofoam tree ...
Ghost Cupcakes
These little ghost cupcakes are perfect for a Halloween party. Once again they're definitely more cute than spooky, but I wouldn't have it any other way! I'm really happy with how they turned out, and I just love the sparkly bows! These are a bit time consuming, but once you get the knack of it, they're pretty easy. I made 12 regular size cupcakes and 24 mini cupcakes. While they were cooling I colored some fondant orange and black, and rolled it out. Using a 3" ring mold I cut out 12 circles. I put a very thin layer of buttercream on ...
